Why build a Youth Center?

Establishing a youth center will give us a place to encourage teamwork, build leadership and provide a safe place for children to learn and have fun, develop programs &  structured activities for our kids, organizations and community residents. Kids need a place to go, a place to relieve family pressures and stress, to have alternatives to drugs, gangs, unemployment and depression. That is why establishing a  youth/community center is essential.

How are we going to build a center?

Building a center will take a lot of hard work and commitment, but it starts with one person and then another and another. Without funding,  community, business and political support this idea is just a dream.  That is why all of you are so important. You can become a major player as we spearhead this drive to establish a center in our community.

SHARING A VISION

Imagine a building, a facility in the heart of NY Chinatown: Promoting  a sense of community, pride, teamwork and history. Imagine at the entrance a huge bronze wall that will have engraved the names of every contributor/donor that has contributed to this center. What better way to honor our history, contributors and members of our community. To have generations come visit our center and see their relatives and friends named engraved on a wall forever. Imagine, a facility that has Basketball Courts, a Full Size Pool, Classrooms, Auditorium, Conference Rooms, Exercise Facilities, Training Rooms etc. and seeing your kids and relatives using them.

You are all welcome to share our vision. Recognizing that the future of our communities lies with our kids & that structured recreational, cultural and educational activities & programs for kids are important for community development. Being aware of our ethnicity and  our roles are crucial to the future social fabric of our communities
