AAYC—We are ALL VOLUNTEERS!
We
are volunteers. Most of us have one time or another been part of a youth
organized program in NY’s Chinatown area. Whether it was Educational,
Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, after school, Drug program etc., we all
recognize our roots as Asian Americans to be connected to NY’s Chinatown
community.

Without
your support and participation events for NY Chinatown kids cannot take place.
By volunteering your time, you have enabled AAYC to take steps towards our goal,
which is to build a “Youth/Community
Center”
in NYC’s Chinatown area. To accomplish this goal is not an easy task. We
invite you to join us in a committed effort to build this center. We
are looking for people that care about kids and share our vision for the future
of NY Chinatown.

TYPES of VOLUNTEERS*
1.
Staff
Member—be
involved in planning and organizing our programs, events, decision making and
planning for AAYC.
2. Volunteer
& help us run events—We
have 3 to 4 major events for kids in NY Chinatown. We want kids that participate
in our events to have fun & win prizes & trophies.
*SHARING
A VISION*
Imagine
a building, a facility in the heart of NY Chinatown: Promoting
a sense of community pride, teamwork and history. Imagine at the entrance
a huge bronze wall that will have engraved the names of every contributor that
has contributed to this center. Imagine engraving & honoring leaders of our
community. What better way to honor our history, contributors and members of our
community. To have generations & visitors come visit our center and see
their relatives and friends named engraved on a wall forever. Imagine having a
facility that has Basketball Courts, a Full Size Pool, Classrooms, Auditorium,
Conference Rooms, Exercise Facilities, Training Rooms etc. and seeing your kids
and relatives using
them.
Imagine having our young professionals come back and volunteering and bringing
their knowledge, experience & support back to NY Chinatown and teaching our
kids about what it means to be an Asian American living in America.
