Our Mission

Asian American Youth Center (AAYC) is a not-for-profit (501c3) organization dedicated to building leadership in the Asian American community by encouraging youth activity in recreational and educational projects and enriching their experiences as community members. Our focus is to spearhead the drive to establish a Youth Center that can serve our youth & families and surrounding citizens in our community.

Our Vision:

Imagine a building, a facility in the heart of NY Chinatown that will provide a safe place for children to learn and have fun; a place for families to share in recreational and educational activities. Imagine a Center that builds foundations for our families, a building opened for use by all community groups promoting a sense of community pride, history, and teamwork. Imagine at the entrance a huge bronze wall that will have engraved the names of contributors and a place to honor NY Chinatown heroes and givers. Imagine a facility with basketball courts, a pool, classrooms, an auditorium, conference rooms, exercise facilities, etc. and seeing your kids and families use them. A place where the community can come together.
